A Day at a Time

Aren’t they cute???

My life has been a whirlwind lately!

I’ll start by linking to and talking about my recent projects and ideas.

My most recent would be my newest Sonadow fanfic, “The Problem’s Chronic”. I guess you could say I like to write things where the characters get more and more delirious as time goes on…

It’s also been a tad bit more time, but I also finished my Sonadow exchange fic for this year and posted that! It’s called “Shadow in the (Sea) Foam” and I embarrassingly wrote a coffeeshop AU (unknowingly) for someone who does not like coffee. It’s my crack at monster romance novel style writing.

I will share a WIP of one of my commissions! I have to take a lot of time with backgrounds, but I am pretty happy with this so far.

On to other happenings, I decided to quit my day job and pursue… well, I don’t know yet!! I worked for minimum wage as a dog trainer at a pet store. I really liked the job but was being asked to do so many things for such little pay. So lately I have been doing delivery driving.

Aren’t I charming and funny??

After a couple of weeks of basically fretting over what to do in my list of things to catch up on, I feel like I finally got my groove back today.

Drawing had become increasingly harder and harder to buckle down and do. The list grows of commission work, things I want to work on, but I was easily overwhelmed. I don’t have any commissions I begrudge doing, it’s just… hard. I think the thick of it is I have been very depressed. It’s always the hardest for me when nothing is particularly going downhill but I still lose the will to work on all of my projects.

Speaking of projects! I am so excited that I have reached 1,000 overall kudos on my ao3 account! I have a several series I have been picking at over the last year and I’m happy to have so many people having clicked that kudos button. Like, various people clicked it, over 1,000 times!!! I always try to think of it that way, with follows or likes. People, other human beings, put eyes on this thing I made and shared it up to 10 times. That’s a lot of people! I definitely don’t have that many people in real life most days talk to me about my hobby work.

I dunno. I am at a loss in life at times. To be personal, I am 34 and have no career, savings, or life goals aside from “I want to be a home owner one day”. I wish I knew how to, for lack of better words, adult better. But I am having fun.

I decided to stay up and write this instead of sleep early… going to the swap meet at 7 am like an insane, unemployed person.
